Data sources and assumptions

  • Solar production: PVGIS v5.3 (EU Joint Research Centre, SARAH3 satellite data) for your exact coordinates, with 14 percent system losses and 0.5 percent yearly panel degradation.
  • Electricity price: editable default reflecting total G11 household price (energy plus distribution) based on tariffs approved by URE, the Polish energy regulator.
  • Settlement: Polish net-billing for prosumers. Self-consumed energy saves the full retail price, energy exported to the grid is credited at the monthly market price RCEm.
  • System cost: editable default based on publicly available Polish market averages per kWp for complete residential installations.
  • CO2 offset: 0.6 kg CO2 per kWh, the KOBiZE emission factor for the Polish power grid.
  • Battery storage: shifts surplus that would be exported at RCEm into self-consumption at the retail price, about 250 effective full cycles a year including losses; default cost 2200 PLN per kWh, one replacement after 15 years at half of today's price.
